I hired Grant Jones to MC a charity event featuring multiple musical acts, a speaker, and a theatrical skit (in which Grant performed). I was immediately put at ease when Grant called me 3 weeks before showtime to discuss the schedule, the flow of the show, the pronunciation of the performers names, the tone of his delivery. I was impressed at his proactive and professional approach, making me feel that he was invested in the quality of my event. On top of this, Grant attended a concert of one of the bands that was performing my event so that he could have a better grasp of the vibe of the show. This represented an above-and-beyond level of preparation that is rare among people in this line of work.
When the curtain opened, Grant handled the show beautifully. He was dressed perfectly for the occasion. His was engaging, lively, charming and handled the numerous transitions smoothly. During the performances, Grant was in the audience, breaking the ice and creating a festive, welcoming environment. The show was fundraiser to support refugees of the Ukraine war. He was able to simultaneously convey the gravity of the evening's cause while making the event fun!
